While I am
a little very disappointed summer is winding down, fall style really excites me, so there’s that.
Overalls are a versatile layering piece that I wear every season! They make getting ready so easy and give off relaxed L.A. vibes no matter where you are. The best part is that they can be dressed down with knitwear or spiced up with a sexy bra top. A simple pair of overalls can be comfortable, playful and stylish.
During the warmer months I love wearing a baggy pair of overalls with bralette; the contrast between the two pieces is super-flattering and effortlessly cool. But as temps get lower, I always reach for cozy t’s, tanks and knit pieces to add to my overalls for a borrowed-from-the-boys look.
Weather in New York City has been really unpredictable the past couple weeks, so I paired my black denim overalls with a skimpy white tank (with tiny ribbed details throughout) and my go-to block-heel booties (the black ones). Then, I added a red bandana for a little bit of color. I mentioned in my last post that I’ve been all about pops of red lately.
For now I will be wearing these overalls rolled about halfway up the calf (perfect for showing off a cute pair of shoes), but of course I plan on rolling them down and layering boots on top as weather becomes colder.
