Nothing makes me feel more confident than jeans and a white t-shirt. There’s no denying it is the best combination ever!
Over the years I have worn so many variations of this outfit, and each time I feel the combo only gets better. It’s truly foolproof. Along the way I’ve found that there are endless ways to customize an outfit as simple as this.
Lately I’ve been loving flattering and feminine tops, nothing baggy or slouchy. For this look I chose a babydoll-style t-shirt with cap sleeves and a slight crop. The twist detail near the bust and unique texture throughout put an ultra-modern spin on an otherwise nostalgic piece. (But, I will admit I am a sucker for the lettuce trim.)
As you may have read in my September favorites post, these blue jeans could not be any more comfortable or flattering. They have a light-medium wash, a tight fit throughout the waist and hips and a flare leg. The high rise is a great match for a crop top like this one. Surprisingly, I love that these jeans have no distressing whatsoever–typically I am all about torn denim.
If you’ve read about my love affair with GRLFRND Denim, then it’s likely you already know about my B-Low The Belt obsession, too. This one is thin enough not to overpower any outfit, but thick enough to be noticed, which is exactly what I look for in a belt. The black leather and metal details toughen up the somewhat soft jeans-and-t combo, and the Western-inspired vibe is 100-percent my style.
I paired this look with shiny (faux!) snakeskin booties from XLE. They are the most beautiful deep red, making them the perfect pop of color for fall!
