How I wear my Playground | Glossier Play

Earlier this month Glossier, Inc. launched Glossier Play, a new line of amped-up makeup extras. While OG Glossier is known for skincare must-haves and user-friendly makeup, Play features bold colors and high-fashion finishes.

As a Rep, the brand was kind enough to send me Color Slide (eye pencil) in Adult Swim, Niteshine (liquid highlighter) in Platinum Rose and Vinylic Lip (lacquer) in Disco before the official launch. All of these products are a total win, so I also ordered a few extra Play products on launch day!

A few weeks ago you saw my first-ever makeup look using Glossier Play. I combined Color Slide in Adult Swim with a few statement-making blue eyeshadows from the James Charles x Morphe palette. As soon as my Playground arrived I dove into something a little different.

I opted out of Color Slide for this look; I already showcased it a ton in my previous look, plus I am still getting the hang of eyeliner. (It’s always been a struggle for me.)

Instead, I used the Detailer brush (comes in every Playground!) to coat my lids in Glitter Gelée (shade Bijoux Bijoux). Then, I topped it off with two coats of Lash Slick.

On my cheeks I combined Cloud Paint in Dusk (an OG fav) and Niteshine in Platinum Rose. Both products can be applied so easily with the fingers! I put Dusk in the hollows of my cheeks to create some definition, then added Niteshine to the tops of my cheekbones, brow bones, the inner corners of my eyes and my cupid’s bow.

Perhaps my favorite formula in this range is the Vinylic Lip. Overall, it is so, so comfortable. Plus, the color is highly pigmented and never patchy. I’m wearing the shade Pony here. This dark taupe is so flattering, and despite the ultra-glossy finish, it is wearable day or night. In fact, I feel just as good wearing it to work as I do for cocktails afterwards!

(Note: I am also wearing Perfecting Skin Tint & Stretch Concealer in shade G9 and Boy Brow in Brown.)
